When I first started at Las Positas, finding friends was hard. Although hard I made sure to promise myself one thing, to find new people and make friends. I knew this would be hard since I would be stepping outside of my comfort zone, but I was determined to do what I can. Over time, my plan did work; I put myself out there and met a lot of new people and eventually landed my first office role for APIA. Flash forward 2.5 years, and lo and behold, I’m president of the club. However, I found that my goals and intentions for the club have changed. I want to make this club make people feel comfortable for anyone to feel safe to step outside their comfort zone. I want to make everyone feel welcome.
